Titan Controls Apollo 4 - 120 Volt Ballast Timer Questions & Answers
Does my Titan Controller need to be calibrated?
No, your controller has been factory calibrated and is ready for service when you take it out of the box. Each unit will provide years of use and will maintain its settings without any further changes required.
There is a black dot on the bottom right hand side of the display. What does it do?
It has no purpose regarding the functionality of the device. It is intended for use at the factory to identify the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) being used in the product.
What is the blinking circle on the front of the display for?
It doesn't provide any useful purpose to the timer. This circle is only to test the functionality of the display after manufacturing to determine if the timer is working correctly.
Are Titan Controls digital or analog controllers?
Both! Titan uses digital control boards on most of the controllers, but simplifies the use of them by having analog (manual knobs & switches) controls to operate the devices. This eliminates the need to scroll through complicated electronic menus.
Are the Titan Controllers compatible with each other?
Yes. They are designed to work together so you may expand your system as needed.
What happens to the 'preferred settings' on my Titan Controller if I lose power?
Titan Controls digitally based equipment has 'non-volatile' memory storage that allows the unit to retain settings due to a loss of power. The analog product line settings are not affected by a loss of power and will maintain dial settings.
Titan Controls Apollo 4 - 120 Volt Ballast Timer Reviews
Great timer. Does what I need it to do.
I would by again!
I wouldn't recommend this product.
Somehow, someway (probably my fault), the inner click fell out of sync with the dial portion of the timer with the pins. I thought it was no big deal at first but found it to be frustrating over time and eventually taking it apart for fun. I was surprised by the quality of the build, it seems to have quality components. The cord is rated 105°c and the case is plastic. Inside is a non-latching Hasco relay controlled by a Toneluck microswitch using 16ga wire with quality connectors. Inside the timer unit itself it all fell apart. It has very fine gearing and is all plastic. It was at that point I realized I probably spun the outer dial around too fast when I first opened it and the problem was caused by me.
Just be gentle with it as this isn't like the ones they sell at hardware stores.
