Botanicare Cocogro Loose Media 1.75 cu ft (Pallet Of 65 Bags) is one of the best grow media out there, made from 100% premium buffered coco coir. It's incredibly clean, as it has been double rinsed to remove excess salts, getting your plants a completely inert grow media. It's aged naturally, and ready to use right out of the bag.
Produced from renewable, ecologically sustainable sources unlike other media, such as peat moss. Here are all the reasons we love this media.
Botanicare Cocogro Loose Media 1.75 cu ft (Pallet Of 65 Bags) is incredible at retaining moisture and nutrients so your roots have access to all the nutrition and water they need. It also provides the utmost oxygen at the same, so your media dries quickly and plants have plenty of aeration.
Growers love this coco media because it allows for greater populations of beneficial microbes, and high levels of oxygen in the root zone. Together, this creates explosive root system growth along with actual plant growth, setting you up for a successful flowering cycle and thus a heavy harvest.

Q: Do I need to buffer or rinse Cocogro before planting?
A: All Botanicare coco is pre-buffered and rinsed before packaging to eliminate any salts. If you do wish to rinse Cocogro, use R.O. water and a 2:1 ratio of water to coco by volume to flush the soil before planting.
Q: What is the natural pH of Cocogro? Do I need to add a buffer such as limestone to adjust the pH?
A: Coco coir has a natural pH of 5.7 - 6.5. Adding buffers such as limestone or oyster shell is unnecessary. When growing in Cocogro it is important to always adjust the pH of your nutrient solution to 5.8 - 6.2 before watering.
Q: How much water do I need to use to hydrate the different size bales of coco?
A: Each 5kg bales requires 3 - 4 gallons of water to fully hydrate depending on slight variances between bricks.
Q: How is Cocogro processed? Why don’t I need to add calcium?
A: Cocogro is naturally aged, buffered with calcium nitrate, and hydrated with our proprietary fulvic acid, humic acid, and trace mineral treatment.
